I appreciate the advice that we shouldn't use bluetooth unless we really need to due to connectivity issues and a drop in accuracy. I can deal with having to reconnect regularly as a downside to the improved portability (well, to a degree!) However, what I wouldn't want to deal with is a significant reduction in accuracy/DNS performance. I seem to rememember some time ago Lunis cited figures for the differences but I can't find them now.I also seem to remember it being discussed that whilst it wasn't as good, bluetooth performance on this headset still yielded entirely useable performance. The overall tone seems to have shifted now to 'don't go there unless you really have to'. As I've said, I would really like the portability but not if performance is reduced too significantly. Please advise.

I can only speak for myself but I have found that with both my Bluetooth microphones,, VXI Expressway and the Jabra M 5390 used with a mini Bluetooth dongle on my main computer that I am experiencing the same performance as with my USB microphone sitting in front of the computer.
I personally think it is very good for my particular usage but others might think that the performance falls below their expectations.

We don't have any real statistics for you but several of our clients noted their Bluetooth accuracy came reasonably close to the accuracy they were getting with the 1.9 GHz base station. The best way to tell is to run your own test. Developer ofKnowBrainer 2010 Nuance NaturallySpeakingCertifiedBBBAccredited Speech RecognitionSolutions Provider
