i uninstalled the DEMO of dragon naturally speaking and i ran Microsoft word and i get this message all the time: {C:\documents and settings\"name"\application data\Microsoft\AddIns\C:\Program Files\Nuance\Naturallyspeaking9\program\... is not a valid office Add-in} i want to remove it but i dont know how to. Any help will be much appreciated. i believe the demo was only installed on my laptop for 15 days.

KnowBrainer T...This is interesting because we are licensed vendors of NaturallySpeaking and we've never heard of any legal demo.

HOWEVER, if you wish to remove every trace of NaturallySpeaking download and run
DNS9.5 Remover what do you take care of this problem.

OMG u have to be kidding me no legal DEMO??? i was searching and found 1 that told me that it was too large to be able to be found on the original site. ill search for the site and give u it on a reply but bad news is that i am still getting the same error message please tell me what to do

FOUND IT
it took a while but here is the EXACT SITE http://www.ehowtoguru.com/2008/02/26/where...-trial-software please tell me if it is legal
it looks legal in every aspect and i believe it is please help me remove its traces cuz it wont get off microsoft DX

We still have the same question that we posted on the voice recognition.com forum which is: Have you downloaded and run DNS9.5 Remover yet? If so, what were the results? The previous link will allow you to remove every trace of DNS from your computer.

i ran the uninstaller nothing happened still same stuff same error message, any ideas on what i should do???

Remover 9.5 is designed to remove every trace of a NaturallySpeaking 9 normal installation from your computer. If you are still experiencing a problem, it may be related to the questionable DNS trial software you installed in which case you will need to contact the website who posted that download. It's quite possible that the installation damaged your operating system and if that's the case, there is probably nothing Nuance tech support or a Nuance certified specialist can do other than recommend you run System Restore, if it isn't too late.

hmm does remover 9.5 remove DNS9? that website requires me to pay to submit a concern + it is from u guys but in the UK!!!? im sure its not illegal please help me i mean it the website may be very legit, its the uk version of nuance isnt it????????? i am going to try installing and uninstalling it but i am not sure if its going to leade to furthur problems so i am going to ask u if i should do that please advice me ASAP. + I can delete any software that i have so i dont think thatmy OS is DAMAGED....

Frankly, there is nothing about www.ehowtoguru.com that appears to be in any way connected to Nuance UK. We saw nothing that made it look like the UK version of Nuance. That doesn't mean we're necessarily right but we saw no evidence to prove otherwise. Here is what the UK version of Nuance looks like.  http://www.nuance.co.uk/naturallyspeaking/ is NaturallySpeaking in the UK. As we stated earlier, we've never run into this problem before which leads us to believe that your “trial” installation is suspect and since none of us have run into this problem before, we can't really help you. You will have to deal with the website you made your download from or run System Restore or FDSK.

PS: If this is legitimate Nuance software, the first phone call is always free even though they charge for e-mail technical support. We recommend you make the call

peoplez do u understand check UR UK SITE THIS IS WHERE I gOT THE DOWNLOAD FROm LOOK::::::: u guys DO NOT INVESTIGATE u just look at the url oh yeah blah blah blah theres nothing we know about ehowtoguru...... but i never checked the OTHER urls in there did u here is the exact download location:::::: http://www.nuance.co.uk/plantronics/ have a look please and ull find it that i am right ORIGINAL SITE, ORIGINAL TRIAL, and ORIGINAL PPROBLEM!!!!

We see your point. We've never heard of a trial version of DNS but http://www.nuance.co.uk/plantronics/ looks legit and the download comes from Digital River which is a subsidiary of Nuance so we will have to eat our words HOWEVER, it still doesn't change the substance of our original answer which is that you are going to have to call the manufacturer because we've never run into this problem. We also noted that the download is for Standard 9.5. In the future, we would recommend purchasing DNS Preferred 10 (minimally) from a licensed vendor because the manufacturer includes a 30 day no restock fee customer satisfaction moneyback guarantee so there is never any permanent financial risk. However, your only immediate solution is to call Nuance Technical Support.

I Highly appreciate ur quick answers but i still cant call and i really want to buy the full version but i am investing in important stuff and am eventually moving so i cannot get the full version until 2 years and who knows what will happen then. but can't u guys talk to naunce UK somehow and tell them about the demo and ask them if it is legit because i seriously have no answers on what i should be doing woth my computer, 3 things i will not do i will NOT BUY the FULL DNS B/CAUSE of personal reasons, i am stuck in a situation where i dont want to pay to fix my thing and any support will be helpful, and 3rd but not least i dont like how naunce is reacting i mean this is a problem they should be looking over im guessing they dont care but u guys please help me i lost my microsoft intallation CD so i cant install it.

Like all of us, Lunis works for a living.  I suggest if you want him to solve YOUR problems, you ask him how much he charges for a consultation.

Try going here (microsoft office newsgroups): http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.word.docmanagement⟨=en&cr=US and ask you're question. There may be something you can do with word that can help (a registry edit or something).

What version of Word are you using? Have you checked your add-ins for any references to natspeak? What version of Windows are you running? ... The more info you provide when posting your question at the newsgroup, the better help you'll receive. Also, remember to specify that you're problem is with a plug-in that you've already un-installed, and that Word still insists on looking for it.

Best of luck to you.

One more thing, have you tried re-installing the demo and then tried un-installing it again through the control panel? That's something else you might want to try too (if you can).

i have 2 say i understand what u are saying but do we pay companies to make their products better? we just ask them give them some glitches and then it should be updated.... but Lunis stated that he is in somewhat connection with naunce which means he has more access to them than i have, i am only 14 years old and i can tell that some people dont get what they want because life is'nt fair.... do u think u would like to pay for every single update ur computer will eventually do???  thought so you'd end up paying $200 a month and if i dont get my answer in the first phone call it is going to be a braul because i am going to have to call again. Lunis should have some advantages and im guessing these advantages are 3 times of what i could do.

kremesh i understand ur point 2 i already have sent for support at the microsoft groups no replies for 1 month already these kind of sites have more traffic becuase SOME POEPLE will like to REPORT BUGS AND PROBLEMS OR QUESTIONS they have WITHOUT PAYING!!!!!

Unfortunately we have no influence or connections with Nuance UK. The UK division of Nuance handles all countries other than the US and Canada. We believe that Digital River is a subsidiary of Nuance but there is a US branch and the UK branch. Apparently the UK branch really does have a DNS Standard 9 trial version but it simply isn't handled that way in the US. You mentioned waiting a couple of years. On average, between every 18 to 24 months Nuance puts out a new DNS product. They don't usually put sales on DNS Standard but they often sell DNS Preferred for half-price (which they are doing now). We are just mentioning this for future information but as for Nuance UK, we have no connection with them and I'm afraid you'll have to deal them yourself. We've also found that sending e-mails to most manufacturers are far more often, produces no results and you really have to resort to a phone call. Most manufacturers simply do not respond to e-mail questions. This might be a good time to look at Skype which charges about 2.5 cents per minute for overseas calls.
