Helping on an accessibility project for the state for a web based application. I'm doing the DNS testing. Having trouble getting DNS to expand combo boxes in IE 6 to make a selection. Is there any global commands or KB commands that might work. thanks zane

| When asking questions of this type please let us know PRECISELY what NaturallySpeaking product you are using. Example: Standard 8, Preferred 9.5, Pro 7.3, KnowBrainer 2006 etc.. The additional information helps us to focus our response. | | | | It would also help if you could show as an example of a combo box that you are trying to expand. However this sounds like something that is easily doable in DNS Professional or DNS Preferred with KnowBrainer. Or entire company is run by voice commands and a couple of our commands can take as long as 5 minutes to deploy because they are doing so much work. We use one of those lengthy commands in our Internet shipping which has to expand a combo box and choose a state in our web browser. |

Thank you Lunis. I should have been a bit more detailed. Running DNS 9.5 Pro and KB2006 Rev E along with specialty vocabs. At this point getting any combo box on any web page to expand by voice command would be nice. I am able to select any box but I can't figure out a command to get it to expand. I don't have a print screen available to me until Monday when I can pull it from the secure network to copy a combo box. Seems like I am missing a simple command and can't quite get it right. thanks zane

Opening lists and making selections You can open any list box visible on your screen and make a selection from the open list.
The following procedures explain how to open lists, make selections from an open list, and how to open a single list box when more than one is visible on your screen.
To open a list box: With the list box you want to open visible, say "Click List Box" or "Click List." Say "Show Choices," "Drop List," or "Expand List." The list box opens to show all the choices available in the list.
To make a selection from an open list: Do one of the following:
Say the full name of the selection. Say "Move Down" or "Move Up" and the number of places your selection is from the current selection, such as "Move Down 3" or "Move Up 5". When the selection you want is highlighted, say "Hide Choices."
To open one of several list boxes If there is more than one list box visible on your screen, when you say "Click List" or "List," a series of numbered markers appear next to the possible matches.
A red marker points to Dragon NaturallySpeaking's first choice. Green markers point to additional list boxes.
To open one of these lists, say "Choose" and the number of the marker next to the list you want to open, or simply say the number.
Notes: A red arrow appears below the list box you choose, but is often hidden by the choice list. The markers and arrow that show choices do not appear in secure documents.

| Just adding to DSteiNeuro’s excellent advice... | | | | On the chance that you wish to create advanced scripting commands to pull down drop-down boxes, {F4} and {Alt+Down} usually work. |
